Terms of Service
Last updated: 19 June 2026 · Governing law: Singapore
1. Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Bookless accounting platform and website (the "Service"), provided by Bookless ("Bookless", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service for an organization, you confirm you are authorized to bind it.
2. The Service
Bookless is accounting software that helps you manage your books, import data from supported systems (including Xero), reconcile transactions, invoice, and prepare reports and tax figures for your review. The Service is provided on a subscription basis. Features available to you depend on your plan.
3. Accounts & responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your login credentials secure, for activity under your account, and for ensuring your use complies with applicable law. You must not misuse the Service, attempt to disrupt it, or access it other than through the interfaces we provide.
4. Your data
You retain ownership of the data you put into the Service ("Your Data"). You grant us the limited rights needed to host, process, and display Your Data to provide the Service. Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
5. Professional-advice & tax disclaimer
Bookless is software, not an accountant, tax agent, or legal adviser. The Service helps you calculate figures and prepare returns and reports, but you are responsible for reviewing them and for filing or submitting any return with the relevant tax authority (for example IRAS or HMRC) through the appropriate channel. Bookless does not file or submit returns to any tax authority on your behalf unless a feature expressly states that it does. You should obtain professional advice for your specific circumstances.
6. Third-party services
The Service may integrate with third-party services you choose to connect (for example payment providers, bank feeds, or Xero). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.
7. Fees & free trial
The Service is offered on a subscription basis. Bookless currently offers a 14-day free trial — no credit card required, cancel anytime. Paid subscription fees, billing cycles, applicable taxes, and renewal terms apply once you start a paid plan and are presented to you before you are charged. We will give reasonable notice of fee changes.
8. Availability & changes
We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features, and will give reasonable notice of material adverse changes where practical.
9. Warranties & liability
The Service is provided "as is" to the maximum extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Bookless is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid to Bookless for the Service in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or as required by law. On termination, you may export Your Data within a reasonable period, after which we may delete it subject to legal retention requirements.
11. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. You and Bookless submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore for any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms and will post the new version with an updated date. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
